Weekends
in Van (Vancouver for the not insiders ;)) are so much fun, there is lots to do
during the summer! Two weeks ago it was Canada day weekend, Canada day was on a
Monday so it was a long weekend. Saturday I went outlet shopping with Elicia
and Tatiana in new Westminster, never expected to find so many good deals, got
5 shirts, a dress and a Guess jeans for 150 dollars, yep that was a successful
trip. After that we went to the beach, English bay and had some Sushi at
sunset, awesome day.
Sunday I
went to the beach and I met two Dutch couples, the first Dutch people I have
met here.
Monday
it was time for Canada day, Sherry and I had so much fun, we basically did
everything. Started at Granville street with all the street artists, did most
of the family stuff at Canada place, danced in the fountain at the seawall, it
was a very hot day, joined the parade and finished with the fireworks. Lots of

Tuesday I went to an open air movie in Stanley park with my neighbours Robyn and Nia, we watched the teenage mutant ninja turtles ;). I met a lot of new people. They have those movies every Tuesday so I'm going to catch some more, it was so much fun.
The four
days of work went by so fast and it was another weekend. Had another beach day
on Saturday with Tina and Sherry, yep lots of beach days out here, it is
summer. We ended that day with cocktails and Sushi.
Sunday I
went to Whistler, met Jenn, we did some camping Sunday night, except for the
fact that we didn’t slept over, but others did. It was fun and a real Canadian
experience ;).
And here
we are at this weekend. Yesterday I caved and I went to new West again, but
this time not to go outlet shopping but to go to the Holland shopping center,
bought some Dutch product and had a nice bun with old cheese for lunch,
nomnomnom, yes missed that.
During
the afternoon I went to Kitsilano for the Khatsalano music and arts festival
with Robyn and Molly. They had blocked 10 blocks at 4th for this
festival, it was a lot of fun, did some new stuff, drinking out of a coconut.
There were lots of stages, food and artsy stuff on the way, it was a great
afternoon and evening.
